A film created for a festival in Japan curated by Australian artists OtherFilm. The film drew on work for the Val Camonica Pieces with composer David Young and other performers in Aphids

Waiting to Turn Into Puzzles, super 8 as score for ensemble performance

2008

Three strips of super 8 film created using ink and orange bag
The film was the score for the performance. Projected live and transferred to the page with additional hand colouring by composer David Young, the work was inspired by Georges Perec’s Life a User’s Manual. The project was a collaboration with Aphids and Ensemble Offspring.

A Film of One’s Own [Fugue Solos]

2006

Top image features frames from a 16mm film showing dances and bright colour coating them.
A commission for Reel Dance at Performance Space in Sydney, it involved four screens of 16mm film, hand coloured and hand treated. The film came from ‘Slipped’/Not for the life of me a collaboration with choreographer Sue Healey and dancers including Michelle Heaven and Phillip
Adams.
